At present, most water plants use the method of pumping water from the water source into the water plant for unified disinfection, sedimentation, filtration, and finally pumping it to the user's home. The following 6 kinds of drugs are mainly used:

  1. HCLO hypochlorous acid is generated by adding chlorine gas from the chlorine reservoir to water. It has a strong bactericidal and disinfecting ability. It can be divided into pre-chlorination and post-chlorination according to the different dosing locations.

  2. 2.PAC polyaluminium chloride, the solution is stored in the dosing room and pumped to the mixing tank to be fully mixed with water. Its function is to destabilize the fine suspended particles and colloidal ions in the water, aggregate, flocculate, coagulate and precipitate, so as to achieve the purification treatment effect.

  1. O3 ozone, generated by the discharge of O2 oxygen, is a strong oxidant that can sterilize, dissolve algae cells, and reduce their content. According to the dosing position, it can be divided into pre-ozone and post-ozone dosing points.

    There are many advantages of using ozone for water treatment, such as good sterilization effect, poor stability and easy decomposition, and no toxic residues. However, large-scale use brings problems, such as corrosion of metal pipes. More importantly, a certain amount of bromate is produced. As you know, this is a potential carcinogen. The current response method of water plants is to use a certain amount of H2O2 for treatment.

   4. H2O2 hydrogen peroxide is a strong oxidant with the ability to kill bacteria and disinfect, but it is mainly used to deal with bromate. After being added to water, it forms a competitive relationship with O3 to avoid the formation of bromate. It is often added and used in months with poor water quality.


  5. KMnO4 Potassium permanganate, its function is to oxidize organic matter and sterilize. If too much is added, the water will turn red, so the dosage needs to be strictly controlled.


 6. PAM Polyacrylamide, flocculant, only used in the balance tank of the sludge system

 7. Filter tank: the water after flocculation and sedimentation enters the filter tank. The filter material is quartz sand, which can filter out suspended matter in the water.

8. Activated carbon filter tank, from top to bottom is 2.2m thick activated carbon + 0.5m thick quartz sand + 0.2m thick supporting layer. The activated carbon filter material can improve the water quality to the greatest extent. The filtered water is converged through the central channel of the pipeline corridor and then distributed to the clear water tank.
